Sleep is an important part of our lives and up to one quarter of the population suffers from its deficiency. For people suffering insomnia it’s not only hard to fall asleep, many other symptoms usually follow, such as frequent or early awakening. The sleep itself does not provide sufficient rest and refreshment. Insomnia can be temporary, but also last for weeks, months or even years. It has a tremendous impact on efficiency and mental health in daily life.
Insomnia has many causes, for example illness or stress. For those whose insomnia is caused by stress the most effective treatment is a sleep hygiene - a set of precautions and recommendations on how to create ideal conditions for falling asleep. These precautions can be going to bed regularly or having a short walk in the evenings, but also drinking herbal teas, tinctures or syrups.
Herbs suitable for such products have been known and used for a long time and some of them can be found in our Sleeping Syrup. Sleeping Syrup has a very pleasant sweet flavour of these herbs, slightly bitter taste of valerian balanced with a pleasant aromatic taste of lemon balm.
